How long will it take to build my website?

This depends on your requirments and communication with us. We always give you an estimated time once we have quoted you for the work but its possible to have a basic website or forum built in a day, small business websites take around a week, larger sites will naturally take longer.

I want to be in control from start to finish, will you let this happen?

Yes, its why we have our approval design panel system. Its impossible to build you a website without alittle bit of input from the customer. Without input it really wouldn't be personal to you or your business. We have you provide any photo's, images and wording you would like to use, we go out of our way at each stage to make sure you have seen the latest work, we have you approve each step and are happy before we continue to the next stage.

Im a start up small company and my budgets not very large, are you still able to help?

Yes, wheather your budget is £50 or £50,000 we can build you a site keeping to that budget, we have built a couple of websites for as little as £50 before. Some companies only need a small one page site with how to contact them and what there about just to get them on the internet and we are not in the habbit of charging the earth for less then a days work.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept most major credit/debit cards, cheque, Bank Transfer and even PayPal

When do you require payment for any web design work undertaken?

This depends on the quote amount and website type. If the total quote excluding any hosting fee's is over the amount of £199 we require a deposit of 25%, the remaining amount is paid upon completion of the website as long as the total time to be spent on the design and development is less then 30 days. If how ever the total amount excluding any hosting fee's is below the amount of £200 no deposit is required and payment is required once the site is complete.

For larger sites where more the a months work is required we have a monthly payment scheme, first you pay the 25% deposit then at the end of each month we evalurate the amount of work and time that's been spent working on your site, convert that to a percentage and charge you that percentage of the remaining amount. We do this at the end of every month while your site is still in development.

When is payment due for hosting if we use you for hosting and design?

Any hosting fee's including domain registeration is required as soon as you have access to the hosting panel, in most cases this is instant.

What is a domain name?

A domain name is the address you type into your internet browser to reach a website, the domain name of our website is tmw-websites.co.uk

What is hosting?

Hosting is a place on the internet where you store your website files inorder for people around the world to access them an view your site.

What is FTP?

File Transfer Protocol, its a means of connecting to your hosting space and uploading your websites files.

What is a search engine?

Google, Yahoo, Ask, Lycos are all search engines, there are many more but a search engine is the place you go to find websites using keywords. Imagion a search engine being an electronic version of a phone book.

Do I have to use your hosting service if you design our website for us?

No, we will be happy to upload your files to whoever your hosting provider is, you will need to grant us access to your hosting space via FTP aswell as the panel to access any databases if required. We will also be happy to send you the files for yourself to upload to your hosting space.

I have a domain name registered already but would like you to handle it, is the possible?

Yes, we can aid you in having the domain name transfered to our service or you can keep it where it is having us reference the domain name so you can still use our hosting services.

I only want graphic design work or a logo designing, do i have to have a website designed as well?

No, we will design logo's, poster's, flyer's, business cards, letter heads and other things you may need a design for. We do provide this service with or without website design or hosting.

I'm based quite far away from Nottingham how will i get photo's and wording to you?

This is nothing uncommon, in truth we have only ever spoken to around 10% of our customers on the phone, we have only met 2% of our customers face to face. Most of our customers perfer to communicate solely by email and send photo's, idea's and wording to us that way.

If there is alot of material to send, its not uncommon for customers to send us a CD or DVD via the post.

After my site is finished there maybe some small changes/updates from time to time, can you do these?

Yes, we would be happy to, if the change is very small and will take less then 5 minutes we may even not charge you for it.

Can i edit the website myself once its completed?

Yes. many of our customers are trying to learn how to program the internet and having a working site as a playground can help loads, we do recomend that you take advantage of our backup service first.
